Death Penalty Court Speech
Ladies and Gentleman of the jury.
Congo, Iran, Nigeria, Pakistan, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, North Korea and Yemen. This list compromises some of what are considered the most ruthless nations on earth. Its not a nice list to be on, and far too many countries are on it. Every year 1 to 2 thousand people die by the death penalty, the killings of these people are barbaric and nobody, not even the worst of the worst deserve to die like this. But the real problem is that a large number of those on death row are not the worst of the worst, surprisingly many are innocent. In America 112 death row inmates have been fully exonerated, this means found innocent of crimes for which they were sentenced to die. A recent death penalty study found that 7 out of every 10 capital cases have serious reversible errors in them, In some places error rates for death penalty cases are 60% or higher. THE MOST COMMON ERRORS?- Incompetent defense lawyers (point to defense) who didn't look for or missed important evidence that would have proved Innocence. Or police and prosecutors who did discover evidence but supressed it. Courts don't want to spend the money so they find the easiest way to get rid of people who are normally either poor or uneducated and unable to deal with the problems themselves. We are not waging war on crime but on the poor we feel comfortable blaming for it. (point to raziq).
Yet in most cases death row inmates wait years for long review procedures - this imposes terrible cost on taxpayers (LIKE YOURSELVES) ,Victims families, the courts and the wrongly accused.

Yet the public is not stupid and now that the truth is coming out that innocent people have been sent to death-row, their opinions are changing and so should yours.
In america a recent poll showed that the proportion of americans who favor replacing the death penalty with life in prison is rapidly increasing, 51% favor halting all executions until a commission is established to determine if the DP is being administered fairly. 68% said the death penalty is unfair because innocent people are sometimes executed. 65% agreed a poor person is more likely to be executed then a person of average or above average income for the same crime. 51% that a black person is more likely than a white person to receive the death penalty for the same crime. We subject the poor to a random and brutal system of “justice”. But the public is starting to realize this is wrong. We need to reorder society so that everyone is seen as precious, sacred and valuable and that No man is above the law.

And its the most brutal and inhumane thing a man can go through.
If it was you, your son, your daughter sitting in that chair, being pierced by that needle, getting hit by that bullet, would you just sit there or would you stand up and fight.

World War 2 ended in 1945. On April 30th 1945 shortly after Germany had surrendered Hitler shot his dog, wife and 2 kids before killing himself.
Years later Hitler was charged with Crimes against humanity and anyone that took part in the Nazi regime was punished equally. He is still considered to be one of the most dreadful and famous criminals in modern history and was involved in the deaths of more then 11 million people caused by the holocaust and up to 50 million people over all by the end of the war.
Benito Mussolini a close ally to Hitler throughout the War was the leader of the Fascist party in Italy. In April 1945 with defeat coming Mussolini attempted to escape to Switzerland but was caught by Italian protesters who in turn executed him. His body was taken to Milan and hung upside down outside a petrol station for public viewing.
Hans Frank was a loyal member of the Nazi party and a member of the SS(A personal protection guard group for Adolf Hitler) the SS grew into one of the largest groups during the third Reich and was responsible for most of the war crimes and crimes against humanity. On may 3, 1945 Hans was captured by American troops he tried unsuccessful suicide attempts and was accused of Crimes against humanity. On October 1, 1946 He was sentenced to death by hanging.

What is Law?
Law is a system of rules that has been set up by an institution to regulate the actions and dealings of its people. Law is different across the world and varies from place to place, certain laws only function in certain communities or states yet some laws can apply to the whole world. Laws are needed to keep people in order and from acting in a manner which might harm or upset the rest of the public. If someone breaks a law he/she must go in front of a judge and if he/she is found guilty has to deal with the punishments and penalties given by the court.
Severe cases such as murder involve punishments such as execution, execution is very controversial yet it is still used in many countries throughout the world. In some countries what is considered a minor crime in other countries can lead to a life imprisonment or even execution, an example of this is drug possession which has different charges throughout the world. Marijuana possession in the united states can have penalties of rehab or a fine of 100-250$ for first and second time offenders, countries like the netherlands allow for minimum amounts of marijuana to go without posing any type of punishment yet other countries like singapore and malaysia impose long jail terms and have executed people for trafficking and possession.

1.A student posts a negative review of a concert given by another student’s band. The review focuses on the band members’ skill as musicians and the quality of their music.

WATER SAVINGS STRATEGIES: FARMS
Farms account for 70% of the water consumed and most of this water is wasted, due to their irrigation systems. Farmers are using large amounts of water for agriculture and due to the little income and severe problems they face it is hard for them to cut down on water usage because the water is necessary for the growth of crops and the crops to keep them alive.
Yet there are useful strategies for saving, conserving and keeping clean water which farmers could use:
1. Efficient Irrigation systems
Irrigation is the application of water to the soil, sprinklers are an example of a common irrigation system.
Some Irrigation problems are waterlogging and drainage problems, due to the large amount of water being applied to the soil, the drainage systems in rural areas often have problems and waste alot of water.
2. Water Pollution
Water pollution is one of the key problems that make water unsafe to drink yet farmers usually pollute and infect their water because of the chemicals and pesticides which are used on the crops these chemicals later pollute rivers and lakes and make the water unsafe to drink. Farmers can be more careful and apply chemicals and pesticides only when absolutely needed, they should also apply a good quality and water safe type of pesticide so that after it is used it does not pollute the water.
